Thinking about a career in welding? Well, you are going to need a hands-on training program to prepare you. Welcome to Kaskaskia College's Welding Technology Program! Our comprehensive program is designed to develop your skills in labs outfitted with modern industrial welding equipment, taught by an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector.

KC's Fitter Fabricator program is designed to teach students all aspects of fabrication in a production-based environment. Topics covered will include major arc welding processes SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW in all positions on plate, pipe and other structural materials. Students will demonstrate welding techniques required for different thicknesses of material from sheet metal to thick plates on Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. The fabrication processes used in metal braking, CNC cutting, drilling, and collaborative robotic welding will be covered more in depth to replicate a production based environment.
