Dual Credit

Dual credit is a partnership between Kaskaskia College and the participating district high schools in Bond, Clinton, Fayette, Marion and Washington Counties. This program provides the opportunity for high school students to get a head start on their college education prior to high school graduation. Courses are typically taught at the high school by a qualified high school instructor who meets the requirements set forth by the Illinois Community College Board and the Higher Learning Commission.

Transferability

  • College credits transfer to most state and out-of-state colleges and universities; however, it is strongly recommended that students work with each specific school they are interested in attending upon graduation.
  • To transfer credits to another college/university, students should request an official copy of their KC transcript to be sent upon completion of their senior year. Request can be made online at myKC.
