The Law Enforcement Officer Certificate is open to current certified Illinois police officers. This certificate builds upon specific learning outcomes and skills mastered in the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board’s approved Basic Law Enforcement Academies. This certificate will continue to improve law enforcement officers’ abilities to adapt to constant changes in the profession. As students continue in their studies and earn field related degrees, promotional advancements will follow.
