Computer Information Technology
The field of Computer Information Technology (CIT) is exciting and fast-paced! There are a variety of specialties students can choose a career path while gaining hands-on learning experiences. For example, if you enjoy puzzles and challenges, Cyber Defense might be an excellent fit for you. Information Security Analysis may be a good fit if you enjoy analyzing and investigating. If you enjoy working with others on team-based projects and are creative, the Database Software Developer pathway may be an excellent fit for your career journey.
The CIT department is proud to offer the following professional academies to support advanced services and learning support: Cisco Network Academy, EC-Council Academy, Palo Alto Cybersecurity Academy, VMWARE Academy, Red Hat Academy, and Coding Academy.
Additional student organizations supportive of advancing experience outside of the classroom are Cyber Squad and the KC CNET Computer Club.
