Social Media/TikTok Intern

Kaskaskia College is seeking a social media intern with an outgoing, eager personality to help capture student life moments on campus!

 We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about generating engaging social media content with a specific focus on TikTok. 

The ideal candidate thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Additionally, you possess a strong inclination to learn and evolve within a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The position is 10 hours a week.

As an intern, you will work closely with the KC Marketing and Public Information Team, KC Student Recruitment, and Student Ambassadors, plus interact with college faculty and staff, and of course, other students!

Responsibilities:

· Work with the team to develop TikTok concepts for the college that fit within college guidelines and are based on current trends.

· Craft scripts and assist with content production, including video filming and photography.

· Monitor TikTok trends and regularly report back to the team with recommendations for future content development.

· Help measure the success of TikTok content with data/analytics for future content development.

· Stay up to date on all social media trends and best practices.

· Assist the Marketing and Public Information team with other duties as needed.

Requirements:

· Experience creating engaging social media content with a focus on TikTok trends.

· Strong understanding of TikTok trends and the ability to identify content with the potential to go “viral.”

· Familiarity with TikTok video creation, editing tools, and apps.

· Excellent photography skills and experience with Canva.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including being able to interview others.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Flexible schedule, some evening and weekend work required.

Equipment Requirements: Computer and smartphone. Must have a current Driver's License and access to a car.

Pay Scale: $15. 00 an hour
