Functions

• Assist the teacher in carrying out daily activities.

Organizational Relationship

• Reports to the Director of the Child Care Center.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma

• Background and fingerprint check

• Physical on file

• Completion of all required forms by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services

Preferred:

• Experience in childcare or a related field

Essential Functions

• Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities

• Support the teacher with cleanup tasks

• Help maintain a safe, orderly environment for the children

• Communicate positively and professionally with children and parents at all times

• Direct parent questions and concerns to the teacher and/or director

• Attend regular staff meetings and complete all state-required training hours

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
