Purchasing Department

The Purchasing Department strives to provide highly efficient procurement services to the College and maintain successful working relationships with its vendors. The Purchasing Department adheres to the College’s Core Values of Honesty, Respect, Fairness, Compassion and Responsibility. Furthermore, the Purchasing Department ensures the procurement of goods and services are consistent with the Illinois Public Community College Act and the College’s purchasing policy and procedures approved by the Board of Trustees.

Vendors interested in doing business with Kaskaskia College are encouraged to complete a Vendor Application Form. All vendors shall comply with the purchasing laws of the State of Illinois, rules of the Illinois Community College Board, and Kaskaskia College Board Policy.

The College maintains a comprehensive vendor database. In order to be added to the database, qualified vendors must complete and submit the following items:
1. Vendor Application Form: To receive an electronic copy of the Vendor Application, please contact the Kaskaskia College .
  - Completed vendor application forms can be submitted as follows:

  - Based on the commodities listed on the Vendor Application Form, Vendors will be added to the corresponding Vendor List.
2. Vendors certified as a Minority Business Enterprise, Female Business Enterprise or Persons with Disabilities Business Enterprise shall submit the following in addition to the Vendor Application Form:
  - Current letter of certification issued by the Business Enterprise Council for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities
  - Vendors interested in certifying with the Illinois Department of Central Management Services can go to the Business Enterprise Program website.
MINORITIES, FEMALES, AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES PARTICIPATION AND UTILIZATION PLAN:

Kaskaskia College will make every effort to use local business firms and contract with small, minority-owned, and/or women-owned businesses in the procurement process. This solicitation contains a goal to include businesses owned and controlled by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities in the College’s procurement and contracting processes in accordance with the State of Illinois’ Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act (30 ILCS 575).

Because these goals vary by business ownership status and category of procurement, we urge interested Vendors to visit the Department of Central Management Services (CMS), Business Enterprise Program (BEP) web site to obtain additional details. To qualify, prime vendors or subcontractors must be certified by the CMS as BEP vendors prior to contract award. Go to https://cei.illinois.gov/ for complete requirements for BEP certification.
