This course gives an overview of the physical therapy profession, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and the role of physical therapists in the health care delivery system. It addresses administrative, legal, ethical issues and professionalism surrounding the practice of physical therapy. It also emphasizes the importance of effective communication skills when dealing with patients, peers, supervisors, and other members of the health care team.
