This course emphasizes the basic operations of arithmetic. Topics include fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, proportions, and solutions of simple equations; as well as some basic applications. This course may not transfer to some universities. Prerequisite: Students whose math placement test scores indicate arithmetic weaknesses are required to pass this course (with a grade of C or better).
