This course is a continuation of the presentation of the nursing responsibilities related to meeting the basic needs of patients/clients. A nursing process approach is used to determine alterations in basic health needs. The course includes the application in the clinical setting of previously learned nursing skills. The theory component of the class is presented in the classroom, followed by supervised practice in various clinical settings. Students will be expected to successfully perform specific skills meeting designated critical criteria. The concept of the nursing process will be integrated throughout the course. Prerequisite: PRNU 151 with a minimum grade of C, PRNU 154 with a satisfactory grade, or with approval of instructor or Academic Dean
