This third course in Calculus extends the concepts of differentiation and integration to three dimensions and vectors. It is recommended that the full Calculus sequence is completed at the same institution since content and credits vary and there is no way to assure that content is not lost in transfer. Topics include (but are not limited to) the following: vectors in 2 and 3 dimensions, vector operations; lines, planes, and surfaces in space; functions of more than one variable; partial derivatives; directional derivatives; gradients; double and triple integrals: evaluation and applications; cylindrical and spherical coordinates.
