Emphasis on concepts and applications, rather than mathematical structures (designed especially for students in business, economics, Social Sciences and Life Sciences, with applications drawn from these fields). Includes topics of systems of linear equations and matrices; linear programming; counting and probability theory. Additional topics include: determinants; systems of inequalities; simplex method; set theory; and the mathematics of finance.
