Rather than concentrating on particular systems, this course emphasizes techniques which help the students develop a systematic approach for locating problems. Narrowing the search by examining subsystem functions; fault isolation within a subsystem; quiescent checks; signal checks; and troubleshooting digital systems are covered. Prerequisites: CNEL 121 or with approval of instructor or Academic Dean and concurrent enrollment in CNEL 280.
