Understanding Medicare and Social Security

Course Description: This workshop will help students navigate Medicare and Social Security. We will review the latest changes and regulations to make informed decisions.

Bread Ed: Sourdough Uses
6/17 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: Bring your starter! We will share recipes, discuss modern bread baking, and cover the transition to warm-weather baking. No starter? No worries, we will have mature sourdough starters to give away!

Charcuterie Class
6/25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: In this class, you will discuss pairing meats, cheeses, nuts, and fruits to create your charcuterie board. As you construct your masterpiece, you will learn about pairing and presentation. All food will be provided, but please bring your board - at least 12x12 sized.

Sweet Summer Delights: Dessert Extravaganza

Course Description: Indulge your sweet tooth this summer with our delectable community education class focusing on irresistible summer desserts! Whether hosting a backyard barbecue, planning a picnic in the park, or simply craving something refreshing on a hot day, this class has you covered.

In "Sweet Summer Delights: Dessert Extravaganza," you'll learn how to create a variety of mouthwatering treats that perfectly capture the essence of summer. Each recipe is designed to impress your taste buds and guests, from vibrant strawberry shortcake parfaits to luscious pudding parfaits and delightful summer kabobs.

Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, you'll master essential techniques for preparing and presenting these irresistible desserts. From layering ingredients to mastering the art of skewering fruits and sweets, you'll gain valuable skills you can showcase at any summer gathering.

Throughout the class, we'll explore the versatility of seasonal fruits and ingredients, discovering how they can be transformed into stunning culinary creations. You'll also learn tips and tricks for enhancing flavors, balancing textures, and adding that perfect finishing touch to your desserts.

Investment Workshop
7/10 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: In this introduction to Investing Workshop, students will gain an understanding of investment vehicles such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. They will also receive an overview of financial markets and their functions, learn how to build a portfolio and diversify, and receive an introduction to investment tools.

Bare Bones Gardening
7/16 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: We are gardening with bare bones! Our class is geared towards teaching you to garden with a small budget and minimal tools. Our summer class focuses on harvesting, preservation, and seasonal changes. We will also hold a seed exchange at the end of class! Come hang out and leave with the support you need to keep you going in the heat of the season!

Head & Neck
7/16 and 7/18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: In this workshop, we will explore some clever means to create movement at the base of the neck, where the origin of neck pain and stiffness begins. We will use the arms, shoulders, and spine to improve posture, mobility, and comfort.

Decoding Nutrition Labels: Understanding What's in Your Food
7/17 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: Many consumers would like to know how to use the information on food labels more effectively and easily. Learn to use the Nutrition Facts labels to make quick, informed food decisions to help you choose a healthy diet.

Awareness Through Movement
7/18 and 7/20 from 9:00 -11:00 a.m.
Course Description: Improve the communication between your brain and your body to promote comfort skill and diversity in your movement - like a massage for your nervous system.

Barn Quilt Painting
7/30 and 7/31 from 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Course Description: Students will learn to draw, tape, and paint their chosen quilt pattern on a 12" wood square. By the end of the class, your barn quilt will be finished and ready to hang.
