Jansen Chevrolet of Germantown, Illinois, donated a brand new 2024 Chevy Blazer EV to the Kaskaskia College Automotive Technology Program in April. The new Chevrolet Blazer will be instrumental in educating KC automotive students on how to better work with electric vehicles.

"Investing in the future is important to our industry as a whole," said Shane Street, executive manager of Jansen Chevrolet. "The manufacturers are fully invested in EVs, and whether we are ready for it or not, they will be making up a small percentage of the automobiles on the road, and we need to have trained technicians to keep them going. We are very excited about the automotive program that KC offers, and if we can do a small part to help the department grow, then this donation will be a win for all."

"Thank you to Jansen Chevrolet for providing the college with this brand new vehicle for the automotive program, stated KC President George Evans. Its community partnerships like these provide learning opportunities for our students and help develop the area's future workforce."
