Kaskaskia College Hosts University of Illinois 4-H Extension Program’s Annual Public Speaking Competition

Kaskaskia College welcomed the University of Illinois 4-H Extension Program to campus on the evening of Thursday, March 6, 2025, for its annual public speaking competition. Young speakers from Bond, Marion, and Washington counties showcased their talents in categories including formal speech, illustrated speech, and oral interpretation.

Explore KC Day Invites Prospective Students to Get a Glimpse into College Life

Kaskaskia College is hosting Explore KC Day on Friday, April 4, where high schoolers will learn about what KC has to offer, meet with faculty, take tours of campus, and hear directly from current students in a Q&A panel.

Kaskaskia College President George Evans Confirmed by Illinois Senate for Illinois Community College Board

Kaskaskia College is proud to announce President George Evans has been confirmed by the Illinois Senate to join the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) after being appointed by Governor JB Pritzker. Evans will now serve alongside 10 other education leaders throughout the state until the term ends in June of 2027. As the only college president on the board, Evans said he is looking forward to representing all community colleges and raising awareness about the valuable role they play in local communities across Illinois.

Associate Professor of Industrial Technology and Wiring Dr. Lyle Gross was honored with the AAACE Faculty Award at the organization's conference in Reno, Nevada. The award is given to a faculty member within the field of Workforce and Professional Development who has made significant contributions in scholarship and service.
