Kaskaskia College Celebrates Graduates of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

On October 9th, Kaskaskia College hosted its 24th annual pinning ceremony to honor the graduates of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DGMS) Program for the year 2023-2024. The event celebrated the accomplishments of six graduates in a heartfelt ceremony attended by around 60 guests, including families from the district and neighboring regions.

Third-Party Economic Impact Study Shows Kaskaskia College Provides Major Boost to District 501

Kaskaskia College recently received the results of an Economic Impact Study from Lightcast, a global leader in labor market analytics, which shows KC has a total economic impact of $132.7 million annually in District 501. Representatives from Lightcast said one of the most impressive numbers in the study is for every dollar Kaskaskia College receives; the school returns $1.10 to the community through added tax revenue and public sector savings, which is significantly higher than many other institutions of higher education.

Kaskaskia College Students Win 9th Place at FBLA National Leadership Conference

Students from Kaskaskia College won top prizes at the Future Business Leaders of America, Inc.'s (FBLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC). From June 24 to July 2, the event in Orlando, Florida, attracted more than 18,000 middle school, high school, and college students, educators, and volunteers nationwide. The NLC provides education, competition, and networking opportunities centered on business.
