We are happy to announce that Spencer Marcum placed in the final rounds at the Harper College Speech Tournament this past weekend in Palatine, IL. Spencer received 5th place in the Poetry category with his program entitled "Grief" out of 35 competitors. We also had several students place 1, 2, 3 and 4 in their individual rounds including:

Spencer Marcum & Amber Edler-Duo entitled "Fireproof" received 2nd, 3rd, & 4th in preliminaries.
Nate Slininger & Rob Sussman-Duo entitled "Pulp Fiction: Royale with Cheese" received a 2nd place in one round of preliminaries and two 4th places.
JJ Bloomquist-Dramatic Interpretation entitled "The Car Accident" received a 3rd place in one round of preliminaries.
Spencer Marcum-Program Oral Interpretation entitled "Poverty" received a 1st place in one round of preliminaries.
Spencer Marcum-Poetry entitled "Grief" received two 1st and a 2nd in preliminaries taking him to the final round where he placed 5th overall.
Anthony Eovaldi-Poetry entitled "Alice's Restaurant" received 3rd and 4th in two rounds of preliminaries.
Jerrin Mills-Poetry entitled "Passion & Hate" received 4th place in a preliminary round.
Michael Ashby-Prose entitled "OJ" received 4th place in a preliminary round.
