|How do I register for online classes?
- All new students, including dual credit students, and students who have been
inactive for one year or more should complete the Student Admissions form.
- The Student Admissions form is available:
- Online (Preferred)
- Paper Format
- At any Education Center or the Welcome Desk on the Main Campus
Notice: Successful completion of GUID 103, Online Orientation, is required prior
to enrolling in an online or hybrid course.
|How do I withdraw from an online course for which I am officially registered?
In order to drop or withdraw from a course, students must either use CampusNet,
submit/mail an Add/Drop Form to Student Services, or call the Admissions and
Records Office at (618)545-3000 or (800)642-0859. It is the student's
responsibility to drop courses according to KC policy. NOTE: Students should be
aware that there are different deadline dates for dropping a course to receive a
refund or to withdraw from a course.

|How will I get the textbooks for an online course?
Students taking Internet courses should make arrangements to purchase textbooks
through the Kaskaskia College Bookstore (phone 618-545-3245) or from other
|Will I need to be a computer expert to take an online course?
It is not necessary to be a computer expert to take an online course; however
you should feel comfortable using word processing and web browser programs,
downloading files, installing programs, attaching files to emails, and sending
and receiving email.
|Do online classes require campus visits?
Some courses require campus visits for proctored tests and/or labs. Please
review the requirements on the instructor's syllabus. Proctored tests require an

|How do I access my courses?
Most all courses use the Blackboard Learning System. The login instructions are located on the
Blackboard Login Page.
|How do I submit assignments in Blackboard?
Follow your instructor's directions for assignments. Typically, most assignments will be created using a word processing
program and saved on your computer's local hard drive. The assignment document will then be uploaded and submitted as an
attachment to the correct assignment page, or to email in Blackboard.
