POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Temporary Full-time summer Intern position for an undergraduate student (Junior, Senior) or graduate student (Master level)
in a Business or Accounting program from an accredited college or university. Must be in student status.
This challenging, rotating, position may provide hands on experience in various areas within Ameren such as:
Ameren's Tax department, Business Planning and Customer Experience or other related departments.
A sample of work could entail:
Non-Income Tax Department:
Minor research
Sarbanes-Oxley Procedures Updates
Assist on various tax related projects such as Tax Customer Exemption, Muni Tax Template, etc.
Income Tax Department:
Research as needed
Assisting with on the state income tax apportionment calculation for Missouri and Illinois
Assisting on the annual tax basis balance sheet preparation for several companies
Business Planning:
Assist with financial modeling assignments as needed
Assist with the development of the Ameren Missouri business plan
Research best practices within the industry
Customer Experience:
Assist in analyzing customer survey data
Assist in cross-tabbing data for further analysis
Assist in compiling requested specialized reports and work with internal clients
Assist with various needs associated with process improvement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Intern Qualification Preferences:
Basic analytical, financial accounting, and/or statistical analysis experience is a plus. Good understanding of Excel,
PowerPoint, and Word. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong analytical, communication,
and teamwork skills in additional to a high level of initiative.
