Kaskaskia College recently hosted a Career Day for the
programs offered at the Crisp Technology Center. These programs include Carpentry, Industrial
Electricity, Industrial Technology, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
(HVAC), and Welding.
Students from area secondary schools in the college district
were invited to attend the Career Day, which was a wonderful opportunity for
students to obtain information to assist them in making career choices as they
begin to prepare for their college education.
Included in the Career Day was a tour and program
demonstrations with the following instructors providing demonstrations: David
Koleson: Welding instructor; Pete Donnelly: Carpentry Instructor; Don Sensel:
Industrial Electricity and Industrial Technology Instructor; and Mark Kohnen:
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Instructor.
Sandoval High School students in attendance included: Kaden
Lyons, Draven Sum, David Lyons, Richard Weinberger, and Josh Rowcliff.
