Kaskaskia College Blue Angels Cross Country Team 15th in Nation

​The Kaskaskia College Cross Country teams earned post season honors for academics. The Blue Angels team earned Coaches Association Academic All American team honors for their 15th place finish with a team G.P.A. of 3.436 for the fall of 2013 season. Three members of the team earned the individual honor of Academic All American for their G.P.A. They were Brittany Goff of Salem; Julie Waldhoff of Dietrich; and Sabyl Whitelow of Centralia. Other scoring members of the team were Caroline Walthes of Centralia and Emma Baker of Neoga.
 
Two members of the Blue Devils earned the individual honor of Coaches Association Academic All American with perfect 4.0 for the semester and they were AJ Abert of Alhambra and Brendan Bullard of Iuka.
 
KC coach Mike Hargis says, “Receiving these awards again this year is a true testament to the type of student-athletes we have been recruiting.  The Women's Cross Country continues to achieve success on the course and in the classroom.    This annual reward is given by the coaches association and we look forward to being ranked in the final poll that is published at the end of the year as well.”
