The Kaskaskia College Nashville Education Center will offer a Medical Terminology Class on Tuesday evenings beginning March 18 and ending April 15 in Room 107 from 6:00 to 8:50 p.m. The instructor will be Holly Szopinski. Medical Terminology is considered an important class for many of the Allied Health degrees and is a pre-requisite for applying to the KC Nursing program.
This one-credit hour course is designed to introduce students to the language of medical terminology, beginning with such basic concepts as prefixes, suffices, and root words, and progressing to the more complicated medical and surgical terms associated with body systems. In addition, medical terms related to laboratory, radiological and nuclear procedures have been included.
