Dye Family of Sandoval Donates to Veterans Tribute Project

The Veterans Tribute at Kaskaskia College is pleased to announce that Greg and Marsha of Sandoval have donated $1,000 towards the construction of the Tribute, currently under construction on the main campus of Kaskaskia College.  Dye, the owner of the Wine Rack and Back Room on Texas Corner in Salem is proud to donate to the project honoring the service men and women and all they do in protecting the freedoms we enjoy.   
The Veterans Tribute committee has raised over $400,000 towards the project which will be built in three phases.  The first phase, expected to be completed this summer, This phase includes two 6’ x 70’ walls with mounted black granite plates to accommodate 25,000 names; a sculptured American Eagle with a 10’ wing span mounted at the center of the Warriors Court; mounted seals of the five branches of the military services; American Flags and cherry trees on the perimeter of the Tribute.  Once construction is completed, a dedication ceremony for the first phase is planned for this summer.  The Tribute Committee is continuing to raise funds for phase one as well as the additional phases, including the selling of bricks to place in the warrior’s court with the eagle.
