MIG Pipe Welding (WELD-133)

Location: Crisp Technology Center

Description: This course resembles WELD 132; both classes deal with pipe welding. This course differs in that the GMAW (MIG) process is used. Students will learn joint preparation, fit-up, and weld out as it applies to pipe welding. Welds will be executed using solid- and flux-cored electrodes. Peripheral equipment such as track torch and various types of grinding discs will be used to accomplish a successful weld. Prerequisite: WELD 122
