1. Identify
a major social change that has occurred in your lifetime. What do you think are
the major sources of this change? Be careful to relate each source of change to
the nature of the change itself.
2. Sociologists
take collective behavior to be legitimate area of study on the grounds that it
is more structured than it appears of first glance. Develop three examples of
collective behavior of which your have some knowledge to support this claim by
sociologists.
3. Which
theory of social movements do you think best explains the women’s movement?
Link the theory to the nature of the women’s movement.
