Title: EMS Regulatory
Location: St. Louis, MO
The EMS Regulatory Specialist I provides operational support and life-cycle management of the hardware and software infrastructure supporting operation of the Transmission Operations Energy Management System (EMS) that have direct revenue, cost, or productivity impact on the corporation. In addition this position assists in maintaining the cyber security of the EMS in adherence to NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Adhere to all aspects of general computer controls necessary to ensure the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operation and administration of Ameren Transmission Operation’s computing resources and consistent integrity of the various systems of data.
- Research new developments and trends in the computer industry to maintain professional expertise to assist in technology planning and influence the technology standards used by the company.
- Monitor trends and changes in the NERC CIP regulatory standards to assist making necessary updates to internal processes and procedures that will ensure compliant CIP programs are maintained and reportable violations are avoided.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer related degree from an accredited college or university. Consideration may be given to candidates with eight or more years of relevant Windows operating and/or cyber security experience without the academic requirements.
Experience: Two or more years Windows operating system experience required. Two or more years relevant cyber security experience in areas such as access control, security architecture & disaster recovery planning required. Experience with NERC CIP audit program preferred. Experience with server troubleshooting, performance monitoring, configuration management and various systems management utilities preferred
Other: Strong computer network security skills preferred. Primary technologies supported include Windows operating systems, Intel server hardware, systems management utilities, remote server management skills, storage area network solutions, TCP/IP network components & services, Position requires carrying an on-call pager or cell phone as part of a staff supported weekly rotation schedule to provide the required system support (24x7x365).
