POSITION DESCRIPTION:


Ameren is looking for students aspiring to pursue a career within the gas and/or electric utility industry.


Temporary Summer Help position available in the Missouri Valley Division Gas Department (Columbia, MO). Must be committed to working the summer schedule Monday - Friday (Typically, 40 hours per week). May be requested to work occasional overtime based on needs of the department/Company.


$11.33 per hour; paid holidays; no residency requirement.


This position includes performance of DOT-covered safety sensitive functions.


As a condition of acceptance on this job, candidates who are otherwise qualified will be required to take and be recommended on medical testing/drug screening and the Edison Electric Institute Construction And Skilled Trades (CAST) aptitude test.


DUTIES


Cleaning and painting residential meters, regulator stations, and industrial meter locations in the district  to meet code requirements for corrosion mitigation. Other duties as assigned.


MINIM QUALIFICATIONS


High school diploma or GED equivalent, required,  Active students in  a Jr. College or four year University preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.


Applicants will be subject to pre-employment screening including a DOT drug screen.


New hires must also obtain and maintain a Class E Driver License (upon offer for a position).
