The Trenton Education Center, located in the former Illinois Power building on Old Rt. 50 in Trenton, has undergone major renovation and expansion over the last year. The building, from which KC leased 3,800 square feet of instructional and office space, was gifted to the College by the City of Trenton as the site for the new Center. With expansion and renovation, the new Center offers nearly 16,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, and office space, including a free-to-use computer lab and three business incubator offices to help small businesses establish themselves in the area.
The new Trenton Education Center is the first of five capital building projects undertaken by Kaskaskia College to be completed. Other projects include a new Nashville Education Center, a new Nursing Building on the main campus, expansion and renovation of the Crisp Technology Center, and refurbishing of the former Animal Disease Lab for use by the KC Agriculture department.
