The Culinary Arts Program is dedicated to providing students with proper food service preparation techniques for future employment by placing significance on practical hands-on learning. The program also teaches students how to maintain budget for a variety of menu options.
Graduates of the program will have a strong knowledge of basic cooking, baking and presentation skills. Students gain valuable experience working in Kaskaskia College’s dynamic food service operations.
Students have the option of a Culinary Arts degree, a Culinary Arts degree with emphasis in Hospitality Management or a Culinary Arts degree, Certified Dietary Manager. Kaskaskia College also offers a Prep Cooks Certificate, a Basic Cooking Certificate, an Advanced Cooking Certificate and a Culinary Management Certificate.

The Cafeteria is dedicated to serving students, staff, faculty and the general public a variety of menu selections throughout the year. The Cafeteria offers daily specials, value combo meals, made to order items, as well as snacks and beverages.
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 – 1:00 p.m.
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Grill closes at 4:30 p.m.
Fryer closes at 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Pizzas and sandwiches are made to order daily.
Purchase a KC Cafeteria mug with beverage for $3.25; all refills are $ .75. Mugs can be purchased from the cafeteria.
