Deciduous, green, odd pinnately compound, serrulate, leaflet 2 - 4 inches, turn purple in fall.

Flower:

Green spring flowering, inconspicuous and not showy.

Fruit:

There is no fruit on this tree.

Twig:
|
Stout to medium texture, gray to green-brown and either glabrous or pubescent.
 
|
|
Bark:
|
Ashy gray to brown in color, with interlacing corky ridges forming obvious diamonds; older trees may be somewhat scaly.

|
Form:
|
Up right oval can grow to be 70 to 80 feet tall.
