Title:  Dist Automation Tech

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DA Technician will work under general supervision to install, commission, test and perform maintenance of reclosers, capacitor controls, regulator controls, motor operated line switches and other automation systems on distribution line assets.  Detailed job tasks include:

Test, calibrate and repair electronic relay controls for installations listed above.

Operation of various computer testing and programming software.

Install, maintain and troubleshoot telecommunication devices and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications.

Wiring of AC or DC control power and circuitry as needed.

Prepare clear and concise reports on all work performed.

Preform high voltage switching and battery maintenance if necessary.

Applicants must be available for overtime and emergency callouts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Electronics.

Successful completion of Tech Test

Prefer at least 4 years of experience in electric utility relay and SCADA

installation and maintenance, proficient computer skills, and experience with automated relay test equipment
