Title: Nuclear Training Instructor - Instrument and Controls
Location: Fulton, MO
Direct the work of a crew of mechanics in the maintenance, replacement, installation and removal of equipment in the power plant and associated structures to assure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation.
Responsible for efficient use of manpower, maintenance of high standards of workmanship, the safety of assigned personnel and equipment, and for instruction and training of personnel in proper and safe work practices.
Assist the Planning & Scheduling Work Control Supervisors in work scheduling. Supervise Work Control personnel in performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance and maintenance related surveillance testing.
Ensure documentation of completed work activities is complete and accurate. Ensure work activities are performed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies.
Perform special studies and projects as assigned by the Work Control Mechanical Superintendent or his designee.
High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer a B. S. degree in Engineering or physical sciences from an accredited college or university.
Four years as a journeyman (in the capacity of a Mechanic or equivalent craft). Prefer planning/supervisory experience in Mechanical. Eight years of power plant experience of which four years must be in nuclear power. BS degree may replace up to four years of experience.
Good decision making, leadership, communication, and human relations¿ skills. Security screening required for Callaway plant. After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for additional selection
procedures (e.g., interview) designated for this position.
