Job Description:


The Service Desk Director, will provide quality leadership, training, supervision and direction to the service desk and child care staff. The Service Desk Director
will support the Esic Branch Director by following their directives in order to deliver superior customer service in a welcoming environment to YMCA members
and visitors utilizing the service desk and child care areas.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's Degree in business related discipline or equivalent experience.
•Prefer 2 years minimum prior management experience in YMCA service desk, program or other customer service desk environment.
•Excellent writing, communication and computer skills.
•Enthusiastic ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse group of employees, members and volunteers
•Proven success in supervising and developing staff of all ages.
•First Aid and CPR instructor certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire.


Service Desk Director Responsibilities
•Meet regularly with Branch Director to review service desk and child care areas and refine policies and procedures as necessary. Follow directives from the
Branch Director on a daily basis to address ad hoc issues as they arise.
•Engage with Esic/Meyer Service Desk Director to foster a team approach in selecting and hiring staff for service desk and child care areas, as appropriate.
•Operate as a team with Esic/Meyer Service Desk Director to review policies and procedures, and plan and deliver group training, in order to communicate
consistently and effectively with all service desk and child care staff at both Esic and Meyer facilities.
•Oversee service desk and child care staff to ensure compliance to policies and procedures in the daily operation of service desk and child care areas including
registration and receipting system, accounting procedures, program information, facility and staff scheduling.
•Ensure that all service desk and child care staff have received required training and certifications as dictated by the Edwardsville YMCA training policy.


WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible 40 hour work week that will include a schedule of day, evening and weekend hours as appropriate and needed to ensure proper coverage.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
?Must be able to lift and carry items appropriate to the position.
?Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to respond swiftly in an emergency situation.
?Work will be performed indoors and limited outdoors and may require occasional travel.
?Must be able to coordinate a variety of large and small tasks simultaneously and handle tension and a stress in a positive manner.

Salary: $30,000 - $32,000
Additional Compensation Details:
Salary may be negotiable.
