The Supervisor Gas Technical Services will be located in Springfield or Decatur.
The Supervisor Gas Tech Services is responsible for the field operations and activities performed by the gas supervisory control and data acquisition team (SCADA) that is part of Gas Technical Services. This includes the supervision of field personnel and their safety, adherence to the collective bargaining agreements, oversight of Ameren's safety programs, pipeline safety compliance, code compliance and the effective utilization of resources.
Key responsibilities include: 
Safety Leadership.
Plan, schedule and prioritize activities and duties of field personnel to ensure their effective performance.
Accountable for the activities and performance of the gas SCADA team or department in all areas which includes construction, operations, maintenance, testing, record keeping, gas compliance calendar, odorizer functionality, industrial commercial metering, calibration of gas transmission and distribution regulator station facilities, complex gas measurement, SCADA and electronic recording devices.
Identify and evaluate equipment for maintenance and/or replacement.
Serve as back-up for GTS Supervisory Staff.
Direct oversight of all pipeline safety requirements, understand and implement all O&M procedures.
Develop and implement a Gas Control Technician training program.
Direct and coordinate field activities with internal and external customers.
Assist in the planning, development and the execution of the Gas Technical Services Capital and O&M budgets.
Provide technical support and services to gas engineering, operating groups and individuals within Division Operations, Gas Operations and Services, along with other Ameren Illinois departments and customers as needed.
Maintain aesthetic value of property and above ground equipment.
Education: Associates Degree in electronics or related field required. Bachelors Degree in electronics or a related field preferred.
Experience: Five or more years of experience related to field automation, gas pressure control, gas flow control, complex gas measurement and SCADA background is required.
Other: Thorough understanding of regulated pressure control, diverse gas metering equipment, control wiring schemes, electrical codes and the overall operational components of a gas transmission and distribution system is preferred.  Knowledge of the Ameren Illinois Gas Operations and Maintenance Plan preferred. 

After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for additional selection procedures (e.g., interview) designated for this position.
