Empire Comfort Systems, a well-established Midwest manufacturing company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer.  A BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering is preferred for this position, however a BS in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Manufacturing will be considered.  Other requirements include experience using AutoCAD and MS Office software.  Manufacturing experience with sheet metal stamping, forming, welding, powder painting and/or assembling is a plus.  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques. 
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Working with the Manufacturing Engineering team on:
 
•New product introductions
•Facility layouts
•Time studies
•Work flow improvements
•KANBAN systems
•Converting batch assembly lines to single piece flow lines
•Quick die change
•5-S and other waste elimination programs

Desired Skills & Experience
REQUIREMENTS:
 
•Manufacturing Engineer experience/background (strong entry-level candidates will be considered)
•Bachelors in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred, Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Manufacturing will be considered
•Experience using AutoCAD and MS Office software
•Manufacturing experience with sheet metal stamping, forming, welding, powder painting and/or assembling is a plus
•Working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
