Req. # 11127 POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Supplier Diversity Executive provides direct support for the corporate wide Supplier Diversity program to identify and maximize opportunities for increased Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Veteran/Service Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise utilization within Ameren. Provide guidance and assistance to MBE's, WBE's and VBE's in the following areas: bidding, bonding, insurance, cash flow, scheduling, supervision, project planning, project updates, union interfaces, and accounts payable and receivable. Educate and train Ameren business segments in Supplier Diversity goals and requirements. Identify commodities and services which can be supplied by MBE's, WBE's and VBE's. Establish and maintain databases to track MBE's, WBE's and VBE's utilization. Analyze and interpret data to establish benchmarks, strategies, and goals to ensure present and future growth and success. Track and report on above in a timely and accurate manner. Interface with Ameren business segments, government, corporate, and civic entities to develop and to increase utilization. Communicate and support Ameren's efforts to increase MBE, WBE and VBE development and utilization both internal and external to the organization Some travel throughout Missouri and Illinois may be required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Economics, Accounting, Business or other related field required. Master's Degree preferred. Three years of experience in supplier diversity programs or supply chain activities required. Utility industry experience in supplier diversity programs or supply chain activities preferred. Proficient computer skills required. Good decision-making, communication, and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct presentations and interface with all levels of management within and outside of the Company. Attendance at meetings outside of normal working hours required. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain management practices and policies preferred.
