You will develops basic communicative skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing Spanish in order to familiarize students with the knowledge of cultures and people of the Spanish-speaking world.
This course is the first of a two-semester sequence of courses designed for students with no prior knowledge of Spanish. This course is not for native speakers.
You will develop basic language skills, including vocabulary, fundamentals of grammar, and oral and written comprehension.
And also, you will be introduced the Hispanic world through current news, songs, movie, literature and other aspects of culture.
Requisite: SPAN 101 C or better or one unit of high school Spanish
This is the first of a two-semester sequence of intermediate level Spanish courses. In this course, your grammar knowledge will broaden.
And also, you will be expanding your knowledge of the culture, history, and daily lives of the Spanish-speaking peoples of the world.
You will learn to communicate about diverse topics including the media, human rights, and cultural images and perspectives.
You will be exposed to short literary texts and other artistic expressions of well-known Hispanic authors
Requisite: Span 102 C or better or two units of High School Spanish
This is the continuation of Spanish 203.
In this course, you will learn to appreciate all aspects of Spanish language and culture in the context of the Humanities, including art, literature, and aesthetics.
It will deepen your functional skills in comprehending, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish and provides an overview of Hispanic culture in various countries
