The Health Occupation Aptitude Examination – Revised (HOAE-R) is an examination that is comprised of five tests that measure abilities, skills,
knowledge and attitudes important in predicting an individual’s readiness and capability for successful completion of the educational program
designed to prepare qualified health care personnel. More information pertaining to this examination can be found at
http://www.psbtests.com/Site/products/hoae.html
The HOAE-R will be administered in the Success Center at Kaskaskia College throughout each academic semester, although testing schedules may vary.
On-request testing is available.
You will be charged a basic fee of $25.00 by the college to take the HOAE- R.
It is the preference of Kaskaskia College that you take the exam at our campus testing center. However, you may register for and take it at another
of the four listed colleges provided on the SICCM website,
http://www.siccm.com/memberinst.html.
You will be responsible for assuring that the scores are sent to your admitting college. You must do this by completing a testing score transfer form
at the college office where you tested. There may be a fee for this service.
HOAE-R scores will be considered valid for two academic years. Colleges will cross check testing lists to be certain that an applicant has not taken
the exam more than two times within an academic year. If an applicant has taken this test more than two times total within an academic year at one or
more campuses, any application to the Southern Illinois Collegiate Common Market Instructional Programs will be considered INVALID.
