All new students, including dual credit students, and students who have been inactive for one year or more should complete the Student Admissions Form.
The Student Admissions Form is available
- Online (Preferred)
- Paper Format
- At any Education Center or the Welcome Desk on the Main Campus
A final high school transcript with a posted graduation date or GED score reports and transcripts from all other college and/or universities attended must be submitted.
Official ACT scores taken within the past five years should also be submitted at this time.

FAFSA

Kaskaskia College has established an effective financial aid program of scholarships and grants, campus employment, veteran's services, and loans. Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) used by the Financial Aid office to determine eligibility for many aid sources. Through our programs, the College attempts to make education financially possible for all eligible and qualified applicants.
All prospective students may go to www.kaskaskia.edu/financialaid for eligibility requirements and information on grants, scholarships, student loans, work study, and veteran's benefits. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line at least three months prior to the semester you plan to begin attending KC. This should provide sufficient processing time for financial aid award. Go to the FAFSA website at www.fafsa.gov to apply.
Once your FAFSA information is received from the Federal Processing Center you will receive a letter from Kaskaskia College explaining the next steps in this process. This notification letter may request additional documentation to complete your financial aid file therefore, you will need to submit all required documents to the Financial Aid office promptly. Upon completion of your file, you will receive communications from the financial aid office. It is your responsibility to periodically review financial aid information and watch for information being mailed providing important instructions for you.

Testing & Assessment (COMPASS)

ACT & COMPASS Tests
COMPASS Practice Questions

All students are required to submit placement test scores prior to enrolling in an English or math course. The accepted placement scores are the ACT or the COMPASS test. These tests provide information about a student’s readiness for college level work. If a student has taken the ACT while in high school, the scores should be available on the high school transcripts. Students may submit the ACT test score from the Prairie State Exam or through participation in one of the National ACT Assessment dates.
Kaskaskia College participates in the administration of the six annual ACT test dates. By listing the Kaskaskia College code of 0964 as a college choice, the results will be automatically sent to the College. For further information, regarding the ACT tests, contact the KC Success Center at 618.545.3160. Students who have not taken the ACT, or who wish to improve their math or English placement, should take the COMPASS Test at Kaskaskia College prior to registration. To arrange a time to take the COMPASS Test, students should call the Success Center at 618.545.3160. Tests are given Monday thru Thursday, 8:00a.m. – 7:00p.m. and Friday 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. Students must allow three hours for the exam prior to the closing of the Success Center.

A registration period is scheduled prior to each semester. Specific dates and times of registration are included in the schedule of classes printed each enrollment period, or can be found on the Registration Calendar.

Students should also be prepared to present their current driver’s license or state id during initial registration for each term.
Online Registration – For Continuing Students Only
Don’t wait in line, get online! Use our convenient online registration and enroll in classes from your home or office. Just click here, http://campusnet.kaskaskia.edu and log on to CampusNet. When you log on, you can:
- Register for classes
- View/print your class schedule. This schedule will include any important information you may need to know before starting the class.

- You may also register by mail. Just download the Mail/Fax Registration Form. Print it, complete it, sign it, and mail it to:

Tuition Payments

Your tuition and fees are calculated at the time of registration. Be sure to review your statement or check your account summary on line at http://CampusNet.kaskaskia.edu
Payment plans are available for those unable to pay in full at the time of registration. Students can sign up for the NelNet payment plan by going to http://CampusNet.kaskaskia.edu , click on Financial Information - Student Tab, then click on NelNet Payment Plan.
Payments can be made:
1. In person at the main campus or at any of our education centers. KC accepts debit/credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express), personal checks and money orders. Note that cash payments are accepted only at the main campus location.
2. By mail – checks or money orders may be mailed to the main campus.
3. Over the phone with a credit card to the main campus at (618)545-3057.
4. On-line by credit card at http://CampusNet.kaskaskia.edu
Payment plans are available for those unable to pay in full at the time of registration. Normally, 25% of the total tuition is due at the time of registration, with the remainder split in two additional monthly payments. Plans can be customized to reflect your individual needs. If financial aid has been verified for your account, no payment is necessary until after all aid has been transferred to your account. You will be notified if there is a balance on the account at that time.
