The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will offer a class entitled “Basic Knitting” at Case-Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street in Carlyle. The class will be held on Thursday evenings beginning February 2 through February 23, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The registration number for this class is LLI 7102 CL01E
Students will learn the basics of knitting as the instructor discussed yarn textures, die lots and basic knitting know-how. Students will learn basic stitches such as knit, purl, increase, decrease, yarn-on and yarn-off. Many patterns will be shared and discussed. This class will be held at the Case-Halstead Library at 550 6th Street in Carlyle. Student will be provided with a supply list prior to the start of class. Cost for this class is $40.00.
