Kaskaskia College is pleased to announce Dr. Jim and Roxie Underwood of Centralia recently donated $1,000.00 to the Agricultural Center Campaign.
KC President Dr. Jim Underwood says, “Roxie and I are pleased to be supporting all of the College capital projects and scholarship programs. As a person who grew up on a farm, the
agriculture program is very special and we are proud of the expanded agriculture offerings serving record enrollments. It is wonderful to see more and more students entering agriculture and ag-related careers."
In December 2013, the State of Illinois turned over to the College, the building which formerly housed the state’s animal disease lab located on KC’s main campus. The 48,000 square foot building provided the College with exactly what it needed, space to expand current programs as well as to offer career training in new fields.
The Center, which opened its doors this past fall, includes new flooring and the renovation of current space to house classroom and labs to accommodate current programs while developing room for new program offerings. The new labs and classrooms are also equipped with the state-of-the-art technology to enhance and improve the learning process.
