Five PBL students recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Effingham. Once again, KC PBL was well represented in the various business and technology events offered at this event. The results are as follows:
Courtney Gerstenecker (Carlyle) – 1st Place – Job Interview
Jessica George (Carlyle) – 1st Place – Cyber Security
Brandon Ratermann (Breese) – 2nd Place – Business Presentation; 3rd Place – Public Speaking;
3rd Place – Business Communication
Bailey Owen (Carlyle) – 3rd Place - Justice Administration
Student Bradley Maschhoff of Carlyle was elected Illinois Phi Beta Lambda State President for the next academic year. This is a great honor and it is interesting to know that the very first Illinois PBL State President 50 years ago was Marvin Meier from Centralia Junior College!
Students who placed 1st or 2nd now qualify to attend the National Leadership Conference this June at the Opryland Hotel and Resort in Nashville, TN.
