Wesclin High School Finishes Second In Academic Challenge Competition

The Annual Academic Challenge was held at Kaskaskia College on February 8.  Fifteen district high schools were in competition in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Math, and Physics.  Wesclin High School finished in second place in the medium school competition.


Individual students from Wesclin who won awards were:


Chemistry – Owen Henderson, tie for 3rd place

Engineering Graphics – Daniel Geiler, 1st place; Nate Brede, tie for 3rd place

English – Collin Henderson, 1st place; Owen Henderson, tie for 2nd place

Math – Ethan Boulanger, tie for 3rd place

Physics – Ethan Boulanger, tie for 3rd place; Cameron Johnson, tie for 3rd place  


Owen Henderson received a scholarship for high test scores.

Participating Wesclin students were:  Owen Henderson, Anissa Mumford, Nate Brede, Kelsey Brag, Ethan Boulanger; Daniel Geiler, Even Buckles, Jason Kattenbraker, Lexie White, Chloe Wankel, Doebelin, Haileigh Gilley, Caidin Schrage, Blake Kohlbrecher, Collin Henderson, Cameron Johnson, Shaelyn Cunningham, and Ryan Gladden.
