KC Hosts Health Care Reform Presentation and plans Ethics Session for Nov. 4

Kaskaskia College held a presentation on Health Care Reform for Certified Public Accountants on October 11 at the KC Workforce Center in downtown Centralia.


The presentation featured presenter George Hinton who discussed the impact of new tax and health insurance laws on small business.  The eleven attendees received two hours of CPE credits.


The next Continuing Education Event will be held on November 4 at the KC Workforce Center from 8am - 10am.  The presenter will be Aaron Beam, who was the first CFO at Health South Corporation and as CFO witnessed first-hand the series of accounting, stock manipulation, and leadership failures that led HealthSouth to the $2B securities fraud scandal and ultimate prosecutions of key officers.
