Attention Farmers: Kaskaskia College Will Host a “Geospatial Farming” Workshop

Kaskaskia College will be holding a “Geospatial Farming” workshop on Thursday, July 25 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Lifelong Learning Center on the College’s main campus in Centralia. This is a free event.


Dr. Mike Rudibaugh, Geospatial Technology Instructor, will lead a discussion on what geospatial technology is and how it relates to an agricultural environment regarding specific issues associated with soils, fertility, crop management, and overall crop yield.


Randy McElroy of Monsanto will hold a presentation on geospatial technology in action, focusing on the return on investment with leveraging geospatial technology relative to economic and environmental management and connecting growers and farmers with the next generation of agricultural technicians.
