Kaskaskia College held its Annual Pinning Ceremony recently for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program Class of 2013
The Outstanding Achievement in Academic Excellence Award to those students achieving the cumulative academic standing of 3.5 and above on a 4.0 scale, throughout their education was awarded to the following students: Kelli Briggs, Jennifer Dunbar, Emily Frohn, Linda Hempen, Bryce McKenzie, Greg Mitchell, Landon Tate, Julie Varel and Jennifer Wright.
Two additional students were honored for their academic performance. Tina Fischer and Bethany Kirkpatrick were for achieving a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA throughout their education.
Emily Frohn was awarded the Outstanding Service Award as an honor and recognition of her efforts in community service, and service to the College.
The ceremony’s keynote speaker was Jennie Larson, PT, MPT instructor in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. Student remarks were made by students Jennifer Dunbar and Emily Frohn.
Graduates include Bryce McKenzie (Bluford), Landon Tate (Salem), Michelle Best (Fairfield), Kelli Briggs (Fairfield), Angela Brewster (Centralia), Julie Varel (Bartelso), Tina Fischer (Vandalia), Chelsea Lane (Naylor, MO), Linda Hempen (Centralia), Bethany Kirkpatrick (Mt. Vernon), Jennifer Dunbar (Odin), Emily Frohn (St. Rose), Jennifer Wright (Nashville), Greg Mitchell (Vandalia).
