Presentation On Cahokia Mounds to be Held at Centralia Museum

The Centralia Area Historical Museum and Kaskaskia College will host Mr. Bill Eisenminger from Cahokia Mounds at the Monthly Lecture Series on Monday May 13th at 7:00 p.m.  The program is free to the public and everyone is invited to attend this interesting program. 


The remains of the most sophisticated prehistoric native civilization north of Mexico are preserved at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site.  Within the 2,200 acre tract, located a few miles west of Collinsville, lie the archeological remnants of the central section of the ancient settlement that is today know as Cahokia.  This historic site is just a short drive away from Centralia.
