Breese Central Runner to Attend Kaskaskia College

Central High School cross country runner Paul Jansen has chosen Kaskaskia College to run in college.

Jansen advanced to the Class 1A Sectionals as a sophomore and a junior. As a junior he ran an 18:48 in the New Athens Regional for a 36th place finish. As a sophomore he ran an 18:06 at Carlinville for a 23rd place effort. Hargis’ Blue Devils participate in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference and participate in six meets prior to the postseason.

Jansen says “I hope to become a better runner and I really like the program that coach Hargis has there,” said Jansen. “I am going to major in heating and cooling so I want to get my general classes done there while running.”
