English Composition (ENGL-102)

Description: This course focuses on argumentative writing and the accompanying skills of research and analysis. Students will learn how to acquire and use sources correctly, how to identify and discuss others' arguments, and how to construct and present their own arguments. A major component of the course (worth 50% of the final course grade) is a research paper, a multi-source argumentative essay of at least 2500 words. Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL 101 with a grade of C or better.
