Dental Prevention (DNTA-139)

Description: Dental Prevention is a study of dental plaque, periodontal disease, and the etiology of dental caries with an emphasis on prevention and control od disease. The role of the dental assistant in regard to oral health education will be the primary focus. The student will receive practical experience in the form of community service for the delivery of dental health education. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Dental Assisting program or upon consent of the Program Coordinator.
